Send a nameplate photo and receive a firm number, usually the same day. There is no obligation.

01You Are Paid Before It Moves

Funds change hands before a single section leaves your property. There is no consignment and no waiting on a downstream resale.

02No Testing Is Required

You are never asked to test, energize, clean or repair the gear. Our team evaluates it from the nameplate photos and our own inspection.

03We Cover Freight and Rigging

Lowboys, flatbeds, cribbing, section separation and permits are billed to us. That cost is already priced into the offer you receive.

04Our Crews Handle Teardown

Disconnection coordination, dismantling, rigging out of the electrical room and loading are performed by our crews at our expense.

What we look for in unit substations

A unit substation is a complete assembly: a primary incoming section, a transformer, and a secondary distribution section, all close-coupled as one lineup. We buy the whole assembly, and if it has to come out in one piece we will take it that way and separate the sections at our own yard.

These assemblies are everywhere in older industrial plants, and they are routinely left standing during a demolition because nobody on site wants to deal with separating the transformer from the switchgear sections. That separation work is part of our purchase, at our cost, and it is one of the main reasons sellers call us instead of a scrapper.

Indoor and outdoor units alike, at primary voltages from 2.4kV through 34.5kV. Both the primary switch or breaker section and the secondary switchgear or switchboard section are valued as part of the lot.
