Switchgear Brands We Buy
Brand affects what used switchgear is worth, because it affects how many buyers will take it and how badly they need spares. It never affects whether we are interested. Below are the manufacturers we see most often; anything not listed is still worth a call.
- Paid before pickup
- No testing required
- Freight and rigging covered
- Any amperage, any condition

Any manufacturer, any vintage, any condition. Send a nameplate photo for a same-day number.
Funds change hands before a single section leaves your property. There is no consignment and no waiting on a downstream resale.
You are never asked to test, energize, clean or repair the gear. Our team evaluates it from the nameplate photos and our own inspection.
Lowboys, flatbeds, cribbing, section separation and permits are billed to us. That cost is already priced into the offer you receive.
Disconnection coordination, dismantling, rigging out of the electrical room and loading are performed by our crews at our expense.

Square D
Square D switchgear, switchboards and panelboards are the most common equipment we buy out of American commercial buildings. QED lineups, I-Line panelboards and Masterpact breakers are all constant turnover for us.
General Electric (GE)
GE gear turns up in every vintage of American building. We buy AKD lineups, Spectra switchboards, Power Break breakers and Evolution medium voltage gear, including older units where the nameplate is barely legible.
Eaton
Eaton switchgear, including the entire Cutler-Hammer lineage, is current-production resale stock and gets strong numbers. Magnum DS lineups, Pow-R-Line switchboards and VCP-W vacuum breakers are stocking items.
Cutler-Hammer
Cutler-Hammer branded gear predates the Eaton naming but remains fully resaleable and heavily in demand as spares. DS and DSII drawout breakers in particular have a strong market.
Siemens
Siemens switchgear, including equipment carrying the older ITE and Allis-Chalmers heritage, is bought across the range from small panelboards to metal-clad medium voltage lineups.
ABB
ABB switchgear, including ABB-branded equipment built on former Westinghouse and BBC designs, is mainstream resale inventory for us in both low and medium voltage classes.
Westinghouse
Westinghouse gear is old but was built heavy, and a great deal of it is still in service. DS and DSII breakers, Pow-R-Line boards and DHP medium voltage lineups are all purchased.
Allen-Bradley
Allen-Bradley motor control centers and starter buckets are the industrial standard in a large part of the country. Centerline lineups and loose buckets are both in demand.
Federal Pacific
Federal Pacific switchgear and switchboards still serve thousands of buildings. We buy the equipment for resale where it is serviceable and for metal content where it is not.
Challenger
Challenger panelboards and breakers are common in mid-century commercial buildings and are bought in bulk lots during gut renovations.
Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric gear, including Square D branded product, is current production and among the easiest equipment for us to resell quickly.
Powell Industries
Powell builds arc-resistant and metal-clad switchgear domestically for refineries, utilities and heavy industry. Used Powell lineups are high-value purchases.
Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi vacuum breakers and medium voltage switchgear are well built and hold resale value, particularly in utility and industrial service.
Toshiba
Toshiba switchgear and vacuum breakers are bought out of industrial and utility installations across the country.
Russelectric
Russelectric switchgear, especially paralleling and automatic transfer lineups for critical power, is a premium purchase given long new-build lead times.
ASCO
ASCO transfer switches and paralleling switchgear are in constant demand for data center and healthcare standby systems.
Zenith Controls
Zenith transfer switches and controls, now under the GE umbrella, are steady resale items for standby power work.
S&C Electric
S&C switchgear, including Vista and PMH pad-mounted gear and Alduti-Rupter switches, is utility standard equipment and we buy it in quantity.
G&W Electric
G&W pad-mounted and vacuum switchgear is utility and industrial standard equipment with a reliable resale market.
S&C Vista
S&C Vista pad-mounted switchgear is a utility workhorse. Used Vista units in serviceable condition get strong offers.
